Mr Omair Anas
Omair Anas has studied MA, International Relations, and has done M.Phil and PhD from India’s Jawaharlal Nehru University in West Asian Studies in 2014. He has worked as research fellow as an expert of India-West Asia relations, West Asian affairs, and cyber security at the Indian Council of World Affairs in New Delhi from 2015-2018. He currently director research of Centre for India West Asia Dialogue, a Delhi-based think tank specializing on India-West Asia relations. He is Visiting Faculty at the department of International Relations at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, Turkey. He has published an edited volume Turkey’s Asia Relations (Palgrave 2022) and has published more than 25 research papers in reputed journals, 50 policy briefs in several international think tanks, and 100s commentaries in several well known media outlets.
He was also Visiting Scholar at Freie University Berlin, Germany in 2012-2013 and has visited several Middle Eastern and European countries for academic events. He is proficient in Turkish, Arabic, and English, besides Hindi as his mother tongue.
