Mr Saeed Sherwani

Mr. Saeed Mustafa Shervani is the son of the Late M R Shervani who was the founder of Geep flashlight Industries a famous torch light brand of the 70’s. The family took part in freedom struggle and his grand uncle Tasaduq Shervani was a contemporary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and his father was a former member of Rajya Sabha.

Mr. Shervani is the Managing Director of Star Hotels Pvt. Ltd., which has been in the Hospitality business for the last 35 years. He is an alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa, New Delhi. Apart from managing his business, Mr. Shervani has been on the Board of the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI), the leading Hotel & Restaurant Association of India with over 4500 members for over 20 years and was elected as its President in the year 2013.

He has also been the President of Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India for two years and became the President of Uttarakhand Hotel and Restaurant Association when the state was just formed.He is one of the founder members of the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) which is a Federation of ten National Hospitality Associations. He was also the Honorary Secretary of Faith for two terms.

He was on the Board of Governors of Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow and is presently on the Board of Governors of the Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa, New Delhi, the premier Hotel Management Institute of India.
