The access to education, skill development and entrepreneurship development are the key factors for women empowerment, prosperity and welfare. There is theoretical and empirical evidence to demonstrate that educational qualification plays significant role in women empowerment.
It is of foremost importance to improvise the level of women education in India and dismantle factors that impede it. Women with a higher level of education tend to have greater access to employment opportunities and therefore, an increased ability to secure employment, their own business and start-ups and thus increase their access to credit and economic assets. However, the gender disparity in the national and state level literacy rate of India indicates towards structural inequalities that obstruct women from attaining the level of educational and economic empowerment comparable with men.
AEEDU aims to bridge this gap by creating awareness among the society about significance of women education through creating women education awareness program in partnership with major stakeholders. It envisages highlighting the challenges faced by women in accessing education and devising a future plan with policy-makers to overcome the factors that impede women education. In concurrence, AEEDU is striving to create avenues to impart skill development, vocational training and entrepreneurship development of women.
